Abstract
An extendedaperture based algorithm for two dimensional directionofarrival(2D DOA)estimation of coherent sources using a sparse linear array of distributed electromagnetic vector sensors(DEMVS)is proposed.First,the coherent signals are decorrelated by constructing an enhanced matrix.Then,the vector property,xaxis and yaxis spatial phase factors embedded in the sparse linear array are employed to extract the high accurate and unambiguous 2D DOA estimations.Compared with traditional 2D DOA algorithms in multipath environment,the proposed method keeps the vector property of the DEMVS,and also increases the spacing between components of the EMVES and the intersensor spacing to achieve 2D aperture extension,and thus providing better estimation performance.Simulations are presented to verify the efficiency of the proposed method.
