Abstract
Based on uniform circular array (UCA), a new algorithm for range-azimuth-elevation joint estimation of near-field sources is proposed. Firstly, a set of high-order cumulant matrices are constructed using the array observation, the array manifold matrix is then estimated based on the joint diagonalization of these matrices. Secondly, azimuth angles are estimated using the estimated array manifold matrix and the conclusion for each source, actual near-field azimuth angle is equal to the estimated far-field azimuth angle. Finally, elevation angle and range are estimated with estimated azimuth angle. The proposed method does not need two-dimensional peak searching in frequency domain or parameter pairing operation. Computer simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
