Abstract
Based on bistatic multiple input and multiple outp at(MIMO) radar, a fast spatial target localization algorithm is proposed. The algorithm uses the data of the virtual arrays formed by bistatic MIMO radar to construct three matrices, and three matrices with designated relationship are obtained through the propagator method. Finally, the closed-form solution of the angles is obtained by the eigenvalues and the eigenvectors of the matrices, so the spatial localization for targets can be realized. The proposed algorithm avoids the estimation of the covariance matrix, and does not need multi-dimensional spectrum peak searching, thus the computational complexity of the algorithm is reduced. The correction and efficiency of the proposed method are verified by the computer simulation results.
