      Mutual coupling self-calibration algorithm for uniform circular array based on ESPRIT technique

      • Aiming at the mutual coupling self-calibration problem for uniform circular array(UCA), an efficient self-calibration algorithm based on estimating signal parameter via rotoational in variance technology(ESPRIT) technique is presented.Firstly,through the mode space transforming technique,the steering vector of UCA in the presence of mutual coupling is transformed into the steering vector of a virtual uniform linear array(ULA)with gain and phase uncertainty.The gain and phase errors diagonal matrix takes the property of centro-symmetry,based on which the closed-form solutions for source azimuths and mutual coupling vector can be obtained via the ESPRIT technique.Furthermore, a method of bias reduction for mode space transforming in the presence of mutual coupling is given on the basis of Belloni method.Computer simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
