Abstract
When jammer and target are located in the main beam of radar, phase wavefront near radar antenna is distorted. This phenomenon can seriously affect radar angle measurement. In order to solve this problem, this paper presents a method of target angle estimation based on polarization information. Radar receiver has been improved to dual polarization receiver, and sum-difference network is added, generating six channel signals with polarization information. Then signal parameters are brought into analytical formulas for solution. This method can eliminate the coupling angle error of the target under towed decoy jamming, and enable the radar to maintain correct angle measurement and tracking. Simulation results show that the proposed method can estimate the target angle under jamming condition. This is a simple and effective method to resist mainlobe interference, and is very easy to be implemented in engineering. This method has important significance to enhance the anti-jamming ability of radar.
