      Electromagnetic radiation of Xijiang traction substation

      • Electromagnetic radiation(EMR) of Xijiang traction substations is studied by metrical, analysis and scientific research, and the field strength of power frequency, radio interference and distance attenuation characteristic are acquired. By scanning frequency in peak detection mode, the electrical field strength and magnetic field strength from 9 kHz to 1 GHz are obtained, moreover, quasi-peak measurement at specific frequency points is carried out. In order to reduce the influence of high voltage transmission line, a novel "along diagonal extension line" scheme is proposed and applied in test. Measurement results show that electric field and magnetic field strength around traction substation is less than emission limit of substation, and field strength attenuates with distance increases. Field strength of power frequency is far less than the limitation of national regulation, which is in accordance with human's health standard. EMR of Xijiang traction substation is less than emission limit, and has little interference to human body and surrounding weak facilities.
