Abstract
To solve the degradation of robustness against array steering vector error in the adaptive beamformer, a novel steering vector estimation based robust adaptive beamforming(SVE-RAB) is proposed. The presented algorithm estimates the real steering vector according to the uncertainty of the array steering vector. Then, the robustness of the new beamforming is enhanced by using norm constraint on the array weight vector. The algorithm can keep the desired signal with the maximum gain with the interference being well suppressed in case of array steering vector error, thus considerable improving the output signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR). Simulation results confirm the validity and superiority of the proposed algorithm.
