      Analysis of radome-enclosed slot antenna array using aperture integration method combined with CST

      • In this paper, the near field aperture integration (AI) method combined with computer simulation technology(CST) software is approached to analyze a slot array enclosed with multilayer dielectric radome. Firstly, the electromagnetic field of each slot center point is simulated by CST software. Then the AI method is utilized to analyze the impact of the radome to slot array radiation. This idea is validated by comparing simulation results of this mixture method with that of the CST full wave results. Very good agreement is achieved. Because the coupling of the array is taken into account by CST simulation, the radiation property of the slot array with a radome is more accuracy than ideal array model. Moreover, the mixture method overcomes the shortages of long time and large memory source cost compared with full wave methods for analyzing electric large multilayer radome.
