Compared experiments on different terrains scattering and estimated multi- terrains scattering characteristics

      • The difference in terrain environmental parameters are the main factors affecting the difference in scattering characteristics between different terrains. In response to the difficulty in quantifing the influencing factors of the difference in scattering characteristics, compared scattering experiments on corn, soybean, carrot and soil by vehicle microwave scatterometer and environmental parameter test system are made. Based on multi-layer scattering mechanisms, using multiple crops experiment data, a vegetation scattering model is established, which has definite physical significance and has strong correlation with environmental parameters. At last, this paper attempts to estimate the compound terrains with large area by multiple crops experiment data, and achieve good results. The comparison error with the measured data is less than 4 dB, indicating the effectiveness of the calculation method and providing support for the study of complex ground clutter prediction.
