Abstract
In the artificially triggered lightning test, the stable supply of system power and the reliability of measurement system under severe environment are very important. In order to provide sustainable power supply and to improve the experiment safety, a power over fiber measurement system for lightning electromagnetic pulse is developed. The digital data, the analog signal and the power are all transmitted by optic fibers. With STM32 MCU used as the controller, the system has the ability of power management, online calibration and temperature monitoring. The design of the main circuit is introduced. The function and the performance are tested. The results show that the power over fiber system works stably in summer outdoor environment when the temperature changes from 26 ℃ to 40 ℃, the −3 dB bandwidth of the system reaches 33 MHz and the measurement range is 0.18−117 kV/m under the combination of three antennas with different sensibility, which meets the measurement requirements of the electric field near the lightning channel.
