An efficient comprehensive de-interleaving algorithm for radar signals

      • Radar signal de-interleaving is an essential issue in radar countermeasure research, and its performance directly affects the effectiveness of radar countermeasure systems. The pulse repetition interval (PRI) transform de-interleaving algorithm is a classic radar signal de-interleaving algorithm. This algorithm has good adaptability to PRI jitter and pulse loss, but it has an extensive calculation and cannot meet real-time requirements and the inability to de-interleaving pulse sequences with the same or similar PRI values. This paper proposes an efficient radar signal comprehensive de-interleaving algorithm to effectively solve the above problems. The algorithm first uses a cluster-based histogram algorithm to estimate the set of potential PRI values and then uses period identification criteria to filter the potential PRI value. Further, the PRI transform algorithm is used to estimate the actual PRI value, and finally, an improved sequence retrieval algorithm is used to complete the separation of the pulse sequence. Simulation experiments show that when the PRI jitter rate is ±10% and the pulse missing rate is 10%, the algorithm can correctly de-interleave the four radar signals arriving at the same time. Simulation experiments verify the effectiveness and advancement of the proposed de-interleaving algorithm.
