      Relationship between radio frequency immunity and type of the pin under test of microcontrollers

      • 摘要: 针对微控制器抗扰性表征中杂波注入位置选取的问题,首次系统的研究了微控制器的射频抗扰性与杂波注入引脚类型之间的关系.对电源引脚、数据输入输出引脚和晶振引脚这三类受测引脚所对应的杂波传输路径建立模型,分析抗扰性的特性.发现不同引脚在中低频段的抗扰性都可以用特征值来表征,进而推导出计算此特征值的抗扰度公式.对多种微控制器的抗扰性进行测量,实验结果验证了抗扰度公式的合理性.此文加深了对复杂集成电路抗扰性机制的理解,为抗扰性受测引脚的选取和不同电路抗扰性的比较方法提供了依据.

         

        Abstract: One important issue in characterizing the electromagnetic immunity of the microcontroller is the location for disturbance injection. This paper investigates the dependence of the immunity on the type of the pin under test. The paper constructs models of the propagation paths of the electromagnetic interference(EMI) for supply pins, digital input/output pins and oscillator pins. Through analysis on the property of the EMI propagation paths, the paper defines a set of fingerprint parameters to characterize the immunity of microcontrollers in the middle frequency range, and derives immunity equations to calculate these parameters. The measurement results performed on various microcontrollers present the validation of the immunity equations. The conclusion helps to understand the immunity mechanism of complicated integrated circuits and establish the criterion for the pin selection and the immunity comparison of different microcontrollers.
