      Analysis and processing of singularity problem of electromagnetic invisibility cloaks

      • 摘要: 在构建理想电磁隐身斗篷/隐身罩的过程中,扩展式映射方法将不可避免地引入内边界媒质参数极值这个奇异性问题,严重影响了隐身器件的实际可实现性和工作频带宽度.针对上述的奇异性问题,总结归纳了三类不同的处理方法.重点分析了第二类渐变维度扩展法,给出了详细的参数图表说明并通过数值仿真验证了该方法的可行性.

         

        Abstract: During the process of constructing an ideal electromagnetic invisibility cloak with expanding mapping method, a singularity problem which leads to extreme parameters on the inner boundary, is inevitable and could cause a serious impact on both practical implementation and working bandwidth of such cloaking devices. In this paper, three different types of processing ways are summarized to deal with this singularity problem, among which the second type of method is specifically analyzed with detailed parameter diagrams and numerical simulation results to prove its validity.
