      Ionospheric phase contamination correction method based on piecewise polynomial phase modeling

      • 摘要: 电离层相位污染使通过电离层传播的超视距雷达的回波谱展宽,从而影响雷达的目标检测性能。近年来发展了基于分段多项式建模的校正算法来解决电离层相位污染问题,针对该算法在处理实际数据时遇到的问题,讨论了更适合的分段原则,提出了改进的阶数选择方法,简化了算法的复杂度,提高了计算速率。通过对实际数据的处理,验证了算法的有效性,证明该算法更适合应用于实际工程。

         

        Abstract: Ionospheric phase contamination makes the echo spectrum of over the horizon radar (OTHR) propagating through the ionosphere spread, which affects the target detection performance of the radar. In recent years, a method based on piecewise polynomial phase modeling was developed to solve the problem of ionospheric phase contamination. Aiming at the encountered problem when apply the method to processing actual data, more suitable piecewise principle is discussed and an improved order-selecting method is proposed, which simplifies the complexity of the method and increases the computation rate. By applying it to processing actual data, the effectiveness of the method is verified and it is indicated that the method is more suitable to the engineering practice application.
