Abstract:
A novel quasi one-dimensional waveguide H-junction is presented in this paper, which significantly limits the structure of waveguide feeding networks within a quasi one-dimensional direction, and satisfies the demanding compactness requirement of some applications. Based on balanced excitation, the equivalent circuit parameters for coupling slot with finite wall thickness are extracted using variational method, and the complete equivalent circuit model for H-Junction is established. Combining equivalent circuit and full wave analysis, a hybrid design method for H-Junction with high accuracy and efficiency is proposed. The simulation and experimental results indicate that the hybrid design method is feasible, and the H-Junction together with the waveguide feeding network based on it demonstrate good performance.
