      Blind DOA estimation algorithm for cylindrical conformal array with Respect to Polarization Diversity

      • 摘要: 针对柱面共形阵列天线的单曲率特点,建立了柱面共形阵列天线的快拍数据模型,基于高分辨波达方向(DOA)估计的子空间原理与秩损理论,结合合理的阵元排列结构设计,将信源极化状态、俯仰角以及方位角去耦合,通过参数的一维搜索与方程求解,实现了信源极化状态未知条件下的2D DOA估计。针对相干信源情况,推导了柱面共形阵列天线的解相干算法,最终提出了适用于独立和相干信源的柱面共形阵列天线盲极化DOA估计算法。该算法估计精度高,计算量小,且无需参数配对。计算机仿真实验验证了所提算法的有效性。

         

        Abstract: In view of the single curvature of cylindrical conformal array antenna, the array output data model for cylindrical conformal array is established. Based on rank-reduction estimator (RARE), subspace principle and well-designed configuration of elements on cylindrical carriers, the decoupling method for elevation, azimuth angles and polarization parameters of sources is implemented, and the 2D direction of arrival (DOA) is estimated by means of one-dimensional search and solution of equations without the exact knowledge of source polarization. In case of coherent sources, the decorrelation solution is presented for cylindrical conformal array. Finally, a blind DOA estimation algorithm for cylindrical conformal array with respect to polarization diversity is proposed. The new method can be applicable to independent and coherent sources, and achieve high-resolution paired 2D (DOA) estimation with low computational burden and no need for parameter matching. Computer simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
