Abstract:
A simple spatial correlation model based on pulse sampling principle in angle domain is presented, which can be used to evaluate the spatial correlati on of received signals in multiple-iput multiple-output(MIMO) channels under arbitrary scattering scenarios. Th e approximate spatial correlation formulation for different sampling pulses is derived respectively, the number of sampling pulse and weight coefficients are also explored in details,which can reduce the complexity of spatial correla tion computation significantly. Simulation results show that when the angle sp read of arrival signal is between 5 and 20 degrees, the average absolute error o f proposed model is less than 0.005 with the number of sampling pulses over 36, which can meet the accuracy demands in channel modeling, antenna array design, system capacity and bit error rate calculation.
