Abstract:
To overcome the range walking of the wideband radar target returns during a coherent processing interval (CPI), the method of wideband radar clutter suppression and target return integration based on oversampled decimation subband processing is presented in this paper. The return is decomposed by oversampled discrete Fourier transform(DFT) modulation filter bank. In every subband, the range walking does not across range cells and weighting processing is implemented for multi coherent returns to suppress the clutter and enhance the target return, then the results of all subbands are reconstructed to get the enhanced target high-resolution range profile(HRRP). Because of the oversampled decimation in subband, the residual alias distortion caused by subband weighting is little enough, thus larger clutter improvement factor and less reconstruction distortion can be get than the traditional 2-D fast Fourier transform(FFT) coherent processing. Theory analysis and simulation results show that the method presented in this paper can suppress the clutter and enhance the target HRRP.
