      Measurement of lightning electric field changes

      • 摘要: 分析了电场变化测量仪的时域与频域响应特征,采用系统函数研究了快、慢电场变化测量仪的响应,阐明了电场变化仪的测量结果可归结为对被测电场变化的一阶高通滤波。在此基础上,利用信号处理方法,设计了由测量结果求取被测电场原波形及不同时间常数天线间测量结果相互转换的方法。最后通过对观测资料的处理验证了该方法的可行性。该方法明确了快慢电场测量波形之间的联系,为简化雷电电场变化的测量提供了新的思路。

         

        Abstract: By analyzing the characteristic of the electric field change meter in both time and frequency domains, a new method by using transfer function to understand the electric field change meter is proposed. Analyzing of the transfer function indicates that the output of the field meter can be viewed as a high pass (HP) filter on the external E-field changes, which parameters are determined by the area of the plate and the time constant of the circuit. Based on these, inverse filter and HP filter methods are designed to recover external E-field changes and transform output signals between various E-field changes meters. Finally, these methods are applied to the observational data of an IC flash. Processed results are in good consistency with the observational waveforms, which demonstrates the feasibility of the methods. The filter methods unify the current fast and slow antennae, and bring forth new thoughts to measure lightning electric field changes.
