      Bandwidth-extended dipole antenna based on composite right/left handed transmission line

      • 摘要: 针对周期复合左/右手(Composite Right/Left-Handed, CRLH)传输线偶极子天线带宽窄的问题, 提出一种非周期CRLH传输线的天线模型.该模型主要由N个不同尺寸的LC梯形网络单元组成, 实现参差调谐, 改善天线的阻抗匹配, 拓展天线带宽.设计了一种四单元非周期CRLH偶极子天线, 模拟和实验测试结果表明:天线的长度为0.135λ0时, 满足回波损耗|S11|≤-10 dB的相对阻抗带宽为8.55%, 天线的匹配性能得到了改善.

         

        Abstract: To solve the problem of narrow bandwidth in electrically small antenna which employs periodic composite right/left-handed(CRLH) transmission line, a new type of electrically small dipole antenna using non-periodic CRLH transmission line is proposed. The model includes N units of various size LC ladder network cells. Staggered tuning is implemented to improve the antenna impedance matching and broaden the antenna bandwidth. A four units non-periodic CRLH dipole antenna is designed. The simulation and experiment show that when the length of the antenna is 0.135λ0, 8.55% impedance bandwidth with |S11|≤-10 dB can be achieved. The matching performance of the antenna is improved to a large extent.
