Multi-fidelity EM-simulation method and its application in antenna design and optimization

  • 摘要: 针对天线优化设计过程中电磁仿真软件资源占用高,计算效率低的缺点,构建多精度粗糙模型集,以递增的精度逼近精细模型,定义适应度函数,在各粗糙模型上进行区域搜索和方向搜索,寻找最优解作为下一级模型初始值继续优化过程,在最后一级粗糙模型上利用二次回归拟合结构参数与响应的关系,遍历解空间求得最优参数向量.利用此方法对一个无线局域网络(Wireless Local Area Networks,WLAN)双频单极子天线(2.4~2.483 5 GHz、5.15~5.825 GHz)进行仿真设计,与拟牛顿法相比较,该方法能够显著减少优化设计时间.
    Abstract: During the process of antenna design and optimization, electromagnetic simulation programs usually are of high resource consumption but low computational efficiency. The methodology presented exploits a set of multi-fidelity coarse models with increasing accuracy to approximate the fine model. Fitness function is defined and its optimal solution is searched locally and directionally on each level of coarse model, and then passes to the finer model as the initial design. On the last coarse model, a quadratic model is used for fitting structural parameters and its response vector; then the optimal structural parameter is obtained by traversing solution space. A WLAN dual-band monopole antenna (2.4~2.4835 GHz, 5.15~5.825 GHz) is designed with the proposed method, and the results show that compared with Quasi-Newton method, the optimization time is significantly reduced.
