Abstract:
In order to effectively exploit spectrum resources of the channel, the multi-carrier extended binary phase shift keying (EBPSK) modulation transmission scheme based on the signal particularity is analyzed. The parameters relationship and spectral properties between modulated signals of various branches are derived. Two schemes are proposed and demodulators are designed to achieve a multiplexer EBPSK parallel transmission. The waveform optimization factor (WOF) is introduced to optimize the power spectrum and suppress these discrete spectral components. Take different sets of modulation parameters to simulate, the experimental results effectively demonstrate that the demodulation performance is consistent with the carrier intervals. Furthermore, an extra 1~2 dB of signal to noise ratio is cost when carrier frequency are approached. With the help of the new methodology, an additional double bit rate is obtained and the discrete periodical Fourier components are greatly suppressed. Therefore, better spectrum efficiency can be achieved which demonstrates the feasibility and validity of these schemes.
