      Lingshan Island multi-band sea clutter observation dataset

      • 摘要: 灵山岛海杂波综合试验基地是我国面向多型雷达应用需求建设的集雷达杂波测量、海洋气象环境测量、目标特性测量以及数据分析评估为一体的综合性试验基地,常态化运行有UHF、L、S、X、Ku五波段对海探测雷达和海洋环境信息采集设备。为推动复杂海洋环境下的雷达对海目标探测技术发展,中国电波传播研究所提出“岸基多波段海杂波观测数据发布和共享计划”,利用灵山岛海杂波综合试验基地,开展针对性海面观测试验,获取不同海情、浪向、分辨率等条件下的海杂波数据和目标数据等,并同步获取海浪参数、气象参数数据,经过规范化、系统化数据预处理,形成多波段海杂波观测数据集,通过数据共享计划的阶段性推进,支撑我国海杂波建模、预测、目标检测算法改进和雷达能力提升等。数据发布和共享计划分多期进行,第一期(本期)主要针对UHF和X两波段数据进行发布,本文给出了相关数据情况和典型数据特性分析。

         

        Abstract: Lingshan Island Sea Clutter Comprehensive Trial Base is constructed to meet the requirements of multi-type radar applications, integrating radar sea clutter measurement, marine meteorological environment measurement, target characteristic measurement, and data analysis and evaluation. It operates in a normalized manner, equipped with UHF, L, S, X, and Ku band marine surveillance radars and marine environmental data collection equipment. To promote the development of radar sea target detection technology in complex marine environments, China Research Institute of Radiowave Propagation has proposed the “Shore-based Multi-Band Sea Clutter Observation Data Release and Sharing Plan.” Utilizing the Lingshan Island Sea Clutter Comprehensive Trial Base, marine observation experiments are implemented to acquire sea clutter data and target data under different sea conditions, wave directions, and resolutions, while simultaneously obtaining wave parameters and meteorological parameters. After standardized and systematic data preprocessing, a multi-band sea clutter observation dataset is formed. Through the phased advancement of the data sharing plan, this initiative supports improvements in sea clutter modeling, prediction, target detection algorithms, and radar capability enhancement in China. The data release and sharing plan are implemented in multiple phases, with the first phase (current phase) focusing on the release of UHF and X band data. This paper provides the relevant data details and typical data characteristic analysis.
