基于频率拼接超表面的宽带低RCS高增益天线
Broadband low RCS high gain antenna based on frequency spliced metasurface

摘要: 提出了一种由1-bit极化转换超表面(polarization conversion metasurface, PCM)和吸透一体频率选择表面(absorptive/transmissive frequency selective surface, ATFSS)构建的新型频率拼接超表面,并将其应用在微带阵列天线的雷达散射截面(radar cross section, RCS)缩减中。在低频段,ATFSS在天线的工作频带内提供良好的传输性能,在带外通过吸收电磁波降低天线的RCS;在高频段,通过1-bit PCM的散射发散特性进一步拓宽天线的RCS缩减带宽。整个频率拼接超表面从低频到高频呈现出吸收-透射-吸收-散射的频率响应。此外,相较于普通的微带阵列天线,加载了频率拼接超表面之后的阵列天线显著提高了增益。仿真和测试结果表明:该天线的阻抗带宽为8.65~8.85 GHz,峰值增益提升2.1 dBi;在3.8~21.5 GHz频段内实现了6 dB以上的带外单站RCS缩减。Abstract: A novel frequency spliced metasurface consisting of absorptive/transmissive frequency selective surface (ATFSS) and 1-bit polarization conversion metasurface (PCM) is proposed and applied in radar cross section (RCS) reduction for microstrip array antennas. In the low-frequency band, the ATFSS provides good transmission performance within the operating band of the antenna and reduces the RCS of the antenna by absorbing electromagnetic waves outside the band; in the high-frequency band, the RCS reduction bandwidth of the antenna continues to be broadened by the low scattering characteristics of the 1-bit polarization conversion metasurface. The entire frequency spliced metasurface exhibits an absorption-transmission-absorption-scattering frequency response. In addition, the array antenna loaded with frequency-spliced metasurfaces significantly increases the gain compared to a normal microstrip array antenna. Simulation and test results show that the antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 8.65-8.85 GHz and a peak gain of 15.16 dBi. An out-of-band single-site RCS reduction of more than 6 dB is achieved in the 3.8-21.5 GHz band.
