Ka波段宽角扫描圆极化相控阵天线研究

      Wide-angle scanning circularly polarized phased array antenna in Ka-band

      • 摘要: 提出了一种以金属环贴片为主辐射体的宽波束微带天线,工作频段为19~21 GHz。以该天线单元为基础设计了一款具有宽角扫描性能的圆极化相控阵天线,微带天线单元通过加载寄生周期性圆形金属贴片调节阻抗匹配。设计的8×8阵列天线波束±60°范围内扫描时增益仅下降3.5 dBic,在整个工作频段及大角度扫描角域增益均大于18 dBic。所提天线单元易于加工,组阵后扫描结果符合预期,能有效应用于宽角扫描相控阵天线。

         

        Abstract: A wide-beam microstrip antenna with a metal circular patch as the main radiator is proposed. The antenna operates in the frequency band of 19−21 GHz. Based on this antenna element, a circularly polarized phased array antenna with wide-angle scanning performance is designed. Impedance matching of the microstrip antenna unit is adjusted by loading parasitic periodic circular metal patches. The designed 8×8 array antenna exhibits a gain drop of only 3.5 dBic when scanning within a ±60° beam range, and the gain remains greater than 18 dBic across the entire operating frequency band and at large scanning angles. The antenna unit is easy to process, and the scanning results of the array are as expected, which can be effectively applied to wide-angle scanning phased array antennas.
