      Equivalent method for analyzing crosstalk of cable bundles

      • Traditional methods for analyzing the crosstalk of cable bundles consume a lot of memory and computation time. The equivalent cable bundle method proposed in this paper reduces the requirements of time and memories for analyzing the crosstalk of cable bundles by reducing the complexity of the cable bundle models. Comparing the terminal loads with the common mode impedance, conductors of the complete cable bundle are separated into four groups, and each group of conductors turns to be an equivalent conductor without overlapping with other equivalent conductors. The number of conductors of the equivalent cable bundle is far less than that of the complete wire harness. Simulation results show good agreement comparing the equivalent cable bundles with the complete cable harness.
