      Analysis on characteristics of ionospheric sidescatter propagation

      • 摘要: 侧向散射探测技术是近几年发展起来的一种新的电离层探测技术.如何基于电离层侧向散射探测结果准确获取探测区域内电离层状态信息,还需要对电离层侧向散射传播特性进行深入分析.本文详细推导了侧向散射来波信号的信噪比方程,并利用三维数字射线追踪技术,仿真得到了不同接收波束指向下的侧向散射扫频电离图,给出了最小时延线、不同地面距离最大可用频率(MUF)等参数的变化规律.

         

        Abstract: The sidescatter sounding technique is a new ionospheric sounding technique developed in recent years. To obtain the ionospheric state information in the sounding area based on the ionospheric sidescatter sounding results, the indepth analysis of the ionospheric sidescatter propagation characteristics is needed. In this paper, the signaltonoise(SNR) equation of coming signal is derived in detail, and using the threedimensional ray tracing technique, the sidescatter ionograms under different receiving beams are simulated. The variations of the parameters, such as, the minimum delay line, the maximum usable frequency(MUF) of different ground distance, are also presented.
