      Performance comparison of the feed arrangements for satellite arrayfed reflector antennas

      • 摘要: 为了减小卫星阵馈反射面天线的体积和重量,通常希望天线具有尽可能少的馈元,为此提出了通过采用合适的馈元排列形式的方法来减小馈元的数量。利用频域方向性相乘原理,证明了正六边形网格阵相对于正四边形网格阵可以在赋形精度不变的条件下使馈元的数量减少13.4%,或在馈元数量不变的条件下有效地提高天线的赋形性能。仿真结果验证了以上结论的有效性和正确性。

         

        Abstract: In order to decrease the volume and weight of satellite arrayfed reflector antennas, usually as less feeds as possible is preferred for the feed array of the antennas. Thus, the performance of beam shaping is analyzed and compared for two different types of feed arrangements, i.e. regular hexagonal and rectangular grid array. Based on the frequency domain principle of pattern multiplication it shows that the regular hexagonal grid array can drop its feed number by 13.4% than the regular rectangular grid array with equally accurate shaped beams, or equivalently improve the shaped beams accurately with unchanged feed numbers. The conclusion is verified to be correct and effective by the simulation results.
