      Occurrence time of ionospheric spread F observed over high latitude stations

      • 摘要: 利用高纬地区ZhiganskYakutsk两个台站的 DPS4电离层测高仪2006年观测到的扩展FSpreadF,SF)数据统计分析了两台站不同类型SF出现的地方时分布及其季节变化.结果表明:ZhiganskYakutsk两个台站观测到的SF主要类型都是频率扩展(Frequency SpreadF,FSF )和混合扩展(Mixed SpreadF,  MSF);两台站FSF出现的时间范围具有明显的季节变化,而MSF在各个季节都主要出现在18000600LT.通过分析可以认为这两个高纬度地区FSF的发生主要与电离槽有关,而MSF主要与夜侧磁层粒子沉降有关.

         

        Abstract: In this paperthe data from DPS4 digisonde at high latitude stations Zhiganskand Yakutsk in 2006 are used to study the occurrence time and the seasonal variations of four types of ionospheric SF.The results show that the frequency spreadF (FSF) and mixed spreadF (MSF) are the main types over Zhigansk and Yakutsk.The FSF occurrence time has significant seasonal variations over both two stationswhile MSF almost occurs during 1800-0600LT in all seasons.The high latitude ionospheric trough may be the main reason of the FSF occurrencethe precipitation particles and Joule heating in nightside magnetosphere may be the principal cause of MSF.
