      Modified registration-based nonuniform frequency sampling method of clutter suppression in bistatic radar

      • 摘要: 机载双基地雷达杂波的距离依赖性降低空时自适应处理(STAP)杂波抑制能力,频率非均匀采样配准(RB-NFS)技术通过数据域信号处理可缓解杂波的距离依赖性。对该技术在机载双基地杂波抑制中面临的问题进行深入分析并给出改进方法,针对频率非均匀采样配准中杂波空时导向矩阵构造复杂,且存在杂波抑制不充分现象,提出引入广义逆矩阵或采用对角加载技术解决问题的两种方案;针对频率非均匀采样配准采用最大似然准则估计杂波协方差矩阵,精度受STAP训练样本数影响的问题,给出新的协方差计算公式。仿真验证了分析的正确性和改进方法的有效性,改进后的频率非均匀采样配准技术使STAP处理器仅需两个训练样本就可获得接近最优的杂波抑制能力。

         

        Abstract: Range-dependence of airborne bistatic clutter degrades space-time adaptive processing STAP performance in clutter suppression, and spectrum registration-based nonuniform frequency sampling (RB-NFS) method can mitigate range-dependence in clutter data domain. Problems confronted by RB-NFS in airborne bistatic radar are analyzed and modified. For insufficient clutter suppression and the complexity of constructing clutter space-time steering matrix, two approaches,using generalized inverse matrix and adoption of diagonal loading technique, are proposed; and for estimation precision of clutter covariance matrix in RB-NFS, obtained by maximum likelihood principle, is affected by the number of training samples, one new method to compute the matrix is presented. Simulations testify the validity of analysis and efficiency of the methods proposed. The STAP processor with modified RB-NFS achieves approximately optimal capability using only two training samples.
