      Parallel method for two-way parabolic equation approach

      • For the fast simulation of the radio wave propagation problems in multi obstacles environment, a parallel method of two-way parabolic equation(PE) method based on open multi processing(openMP) is proposed in this paper. Its correctness and high efficiency are verified via a two knife-edge case and a fifteen knife-edge case respectively. The results show that the parallel two-way PE method can make the computational speed improved by 8.8 times with 16 cores. Finally, the propagation factor of a Global System for Mobile Communication(GSM) base station in the real terrain is simulated. Numerical results show that the proposed parallel method has excellent acceleration effect.
