Abstract
Based on the measured shielding effectiveness in frequencydomain, a simple model for evaluating the pulse wave shielding effectiveness of a shielding enclosure is proposed by using phase reconstruction, best approximation element method and iteration improvement. The model is in the form of a discrete transfer function, and the pulse waveform within a shielding enclosure can be estimated with digital filtering method. The proposed method is verified by modeling a simulated filter and estimating pulsed magnetic field inside practical shields. It provides a useful tool for evaluating pulse response from continuous wave measurements.
