Frequency sweep technology using Maehly approximation based on MoM-PO hybrid method

  • MoMPO hybrid method in conjunction with Maehly approximation technique is applied to the wideband analysis of antennas around an electrically large platform in this paper. Based on the Chebyshev approximation, the Maehly expansion is developed to achieve fast frequency sweeping. Furthermore, MoM-PO hybrid formulation is employed to reduce the number of unknowns in the matrix equation, thus the memory requirements and the solution time can be reduced. Compared with Chebyshev approximation, the presented algorithm is more accurate since Maehly expansion is a rational function. Numerical results show that the proposed technique is efficient for wideband analysis of antennas around a conducting platform.
