      Design of a new circularly-polarized broadband microstrip antenna with broad beamwidth

      • A new circularly-polarized broadband microstrip antenna with three feeds which can be used in satellite communications is designed.The proposed antenna can realize circularly-polarized radiation at 1500~1900 MHz.The feeding network adopts a one-three power divider which can increase the bandwidth of axial ratio and wide-angle axial ratio.The bandwidth is greatly increased by feeding network and the parasitic patch.The beamwidth is broadened by extending the size of dielectric substrate of antenna.The measured results show that the 62.5%(VSWR ≤ 2) bandwidth and 33%(AR ≤ 3 dB)axial ratio bandwidth are achieved respectively,which obtains the good performance of wide-band and broad beamwidth.
