      Joint estimation algorithm of 2D DOA and polarization based on cylindrical conformal array antenna

      • A joint estimation algorithm of two dimensional directions of arrival (2D DOA) and polarization is investigated based on the modeling of cylindrical conformal array antenna. The elevation angle of incidence signal is estimated through estimation of signal parameters via rotational in variance techniques(ESPRIT) algorithm, and according to the subspace and rank-reduction estimator (RARE) theory, the direction information and polarization information are decoupled by certain transforming to the steering matrix, after which the azimuth angle and polarization are obtained respectively through dimensional angle search and solution of equations. Monte-Carlo simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
