Impact of turbulence in rainfall microstructure

This paper studies perturbation in the precipitation microstructure. The main work here includes three aspects. First, raindrops velocity distribution under wind perturbation is shown. Then, simulation results of doppler-polarimetric spectrum with different intensity of turbulence are demonstrated. Furthermore, the relationship between the simulated doppler-polarimetric parameters and turbulence intensity is analyzed. The simulating results exhibited in this paper will give a help to understand turbulized meteorological objects.
