Abstract
Excitation source model with an internal source resistance in the dipole feeding gap is applied in the phased array antenna calculated by finite difference-time domain(FDTD) method, and the modulation Gaussian pulse is also used, which can improve the convergence. The proper time delay introduced in the time-domain excitation signal can lead the needed phase to each feed cell. The result of a dyadic phased array antenna validates the algorithm and the grogram, and a six-cell circular phased array antenna illustrates the application in practice.
