Abstract
A novel type of surface-wave antenna (SWA) is introduced in the paper, and identities of its radiation are analyzed. Method of moment (MoM) is combined with precorrected-FFT (p-FFT) method to solve the composite volume and surface integral equations (VSIE), and to analyze composite metallicdielectric electromagnetic problems. By comparing the calculated results with that of radiation patterns and return loss, the Schauber-wilton-Glisson (SWG) has similar radiation characteristics with a monopole. It provides a new idea to design a high-gain, small-size antenna.
