      Influence of obstacle towards electromagnetic wave propagation in the evaporation duct

      • The influence of the electromagnetic wave propagation in the evaporation duct with the single and multi-obstacles above the sea surface is studied by solving the piecewise-linear wide angle parabolic equation using fast-Fourier transform method. The comparison of the electromagnetic wave propagation above the smooth sea surface with and without obstacles is presented and discussed. It is shown that the propagation loss of electromagnetic wave in evaporation duct increases with the presence of the obstacle, the propagation path and the height of the obstacle, which is important for evaluating the characteristics of wave propagation with the ship and the island above the sea surface in the evaporation duct.
