      Design and optimization of UWB antenna based on genetic algorithm

      • In this paper,the use of genetic algorithm for ultra wideband(UWB) antenna design applications is explored.A new optimizing project based on the combination of genetic algorithm(GA) with high frequency structure simulator(HFSS) is presented to facilitate the antenna design, and its operations are discussed.A novel UWB antenna, which covers the frequency band from 3 GHz to 11 GHz is proposed with 10 dB return loss good UWB characteristics.
