Abstract
Power management algorithm based on multipath propagation model is proposed for the requirement of lower power consumption in short-rang wireless communication systems.A power control byte is defined,and then the path loss data is saved and transmitted with the payload.The transmitted power is adjusted in terms of the real-time path loss data and the power control byte,and multipath propagation model can be used to implement power management for short-range wireless link under complex and time-varying electromagnetic environments.The algorithm is verified in terms of the application of wireless link worked at 2.4 GHz.The results show that the lifetime of battery can be extended.
