Abstract
This paper proposes an implementation scheme of new dual polarized monopulse passive radar seeker in order to improve its performances of target detection and interference suppression. The design theorem and system structure of the proposed radar seeker are introduced. The fully polarized signal model of radar radiation sources is formulated, and a signal processing method based on polarization matching detection and instantaneous polarization recognition is proposed, then the precise angle measurement and tracking for the detected target is realized by employing the monopulse technique. Finally, an implementation scheme of monopulse antenna system based on the dual polarized Vivaldi antenna is proposed. The specific experimental results demonstrate the antenna design scheme is feasible. The research results in this paper have guiding meaning to the researches and developments of practical passive radar seekers.
