Ducting propagation and near-grazing incident scattering on rough sea surface

The effect of rough sea surface on the electromagnetic wave under the condition of evaporation duct is discussed.The modified reflect coefficient of rough surface is analyzed,and the quantitative analysis based on experimental data is done to validate the electromagnetic wave forecast model in the Chinese sea.Experiment results show the relation among the duct altitude,loss and the range.Results of model computation and observed data are in good consistency.It is indicated that the electromagnetic wave forecast model is applicable in Chinese sea when the ocean wave is weak.When the wind on the sea is stronger,the rough surface could influence the model and underestimate the propagation loss.
