Abstract
In this paper,we consider the problem of angle estimation for bistatic multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO)radar,and propose a method for joint direction of departure(DOD)and direction of arrival(DOA)estimation under low snapshots. The proposed algorithm use matrix pencil method to construct extended matrix from the received data, after the singular value decomposition(SVD)of the matrix, the angles can be joint estimated. The angle estimation performance of the proposed algorithm is better than the traditional estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques(ESPRIT)algorithm under low snapshots, and the angles estimated by the proposed algorithm can automatically match, meanwhile the complexity is lower than ESPRIT algorithm. We analyze the complexity and derive the Cramer-Rao bound(CRB)in this paper. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.
