Experimental study on impedance and radiation properties of plasma-column antenna

An experimental system is established to study the impedance and radiation properties of plasma-column antenna.The results show that the impedance bandwidth of plasma antenna is much wider than that of metal antenna of the same structure.The gains of the two antennas are nearly the same from 50MHz to 260 MHz.In addition, the relative gain of plasma transmitting antenna is higher than that of plasma receiving antenna.
