      Performance analysis of wideband conformal antenna

      • A cylindrical conformal antenna with wideband characteristic is proposed and analyzed.By changing the radius,length and permittivity of the cylinder,the effects of these parameters on the impedance characteristics and radiation capabilities of the antenna are analyzed.The simulated results show that the resonant frequency,impedance bandwidth and the radiation patterns all greatly change with the changing of the radius,length and permittivity of cylinder.Simulated results give credible ideas to choose suitable carrier when design wideband conformal antennas.The conformal antenna is fabricated and measured and the results show that the antenna has a high wide band capability with operation bandwidth from 2~16 GHz.The radiation property and stable gain can be achieved at the operation frequency.
