Abstract
A new method based on equivalent space analytical (ESA) is proposed in this paper. In this method, the strong scattering from an equally spaced array can be considerably reduced at some certain directions by radiation and scattering tradeoff design. In order to illustrate the validation of proposed method, a 1×8 patch array antenna is designed using both this novel technology and the conventional one. Compared with traditional array design, the inband and outband RCS spots of strong scattering are considerably reduced, and the proposed method makes be at the status that it scatters with low level for most incident angles. The results show that the proposed method is feasible and effective for designing the antenna array.ger wire diameter can be revised by the experience formula of the equivalent coefficient.
