Research on the interaction between the UWB button antenna and human body
A novel UWB button antenna was proposed. The interaction between the UWB button antenna and human body was discussed based on its radiation performance. When the antenna was placed on the different parts of the human body, its performance with different frequency was studied. The simulation about the specific absorption rate (SAR) was done for learning the effect of the antenna on the brain and torso in the different frequency. The simulated and measured results show that the performance of the antenna changes little, when it works near the human body. The effect of the antenna on the human body meets the requirements of International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection. The antenna is suitable for body-centric wireless communications systems.
