      Performance of wideband V2V MIMO communication systems

      • In this paper, based on a two-dimensional (2D) two-ring and a three-dimensional (3D) two-cylinder scattering channel models together with advanced space-frequency block coding (SFBC) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technologies under the line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions, system performances are analyzed for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), such as the bit-error-rate (BER) and channel capacity with respect to the moving speed and their antenna element spacing of the transceiver.The research method and results are useful for V2V MIMO system performance studies. The results show that with the acceleration of the moving speed of the transceiver terminal, the signal attenuation is accelerated and BER of broadband MIMO V2V communication system increases; while with the increase of the interval of antenna array transceiver, the BER of communication system decreases, and the capacity of MIMO channel increases.
