      Design of the multi-band and miniaturized antenna based on metamaterial

      • In this paper, a monopole antenna model with epsilon negative transmission line(ENG-TL) structure and complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) structure is proposed, which is based on the ENG-TL theory and negative magnetic permeability characteristics of the open resonant ring. This structure realizes the miniaturization and multi-band of the monopole antenna model. The simulation and experimental results show that the designed monopole antenna covers WLAN (2.4/5.2/5.8 GHz) and WIMAX (3.5/5.8 GHz) band.
